New agreement between the University of Udine and Danieli Automation Digi&Met
TO IMPROVE COLLABORATION ON DIGITAL PROJECTS APPLIED TO THE METALLURGICAL PROCESS

On 3rd June, in the presence of University Rector Felice De Toni and the newly-elected Rector Roberto Pinton, together with the General Director Massimo Di Silverio and Department Directors Marco Petti and Gianluca Foresti, Danieli Automation - Digi&Met signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the University of Udine.
Representing Danieli Automation were Alessandro Ardesi (CEO Danieli Automation) and Marco Ometto (EVP Danieli Automation) together with Andrea Polo and Giacomini Alberto (R&D Danieli Automation) and Gianluca Buoro (Danieli Automation Legal Affairs).
The two parties reached an important agreement to set up Danieli Automation Labs in the rooms provided by the University faculty, for the purpose of having a specific area dedicated to innovation, merging advanced research and consolidated know-how in the metallurgical field.
The laboratory will act as a multidisciplinary meeting point for automation, robotics, process control and numerical modelling, artificial intelligence and power systems. It will rely on the continued presence of high-skilled technicians from the Danieli Automation R&D Department, who will work as tutors during the design and implementation of the projects. The objective is to stimulate the interest of students, researchers and teachers to find real solutions and projects.
Many thanks to DPIA Director Prof. Marco Petti and DISO Director Giampaolo Proscia, as well as all the personnel involved in the project. Special thanks to Prof. Alberto Felice De Toni for his firm support of this project.
