Process Control Systems Plate and steckel mill process control automation system allows the retrieval of rolling practices, technological and production data required by calculation models that support process setup and control performing:  Optimization of the process activity, mill pacing, mill setup calculation and adaptation.  Mathematical model calculations  such as: -Reheating furnace model. -Mill stretch model. -Roll gap model that calculates roll wear and thermal crown. -Rolling strategy model. -Force and torque model. -“SQ_opt” Squareness optimizer. -Material temperature model. -Thermomechanical rolling.
